ICAM and MUBAS Sign MOU to Enhance Accountancy Education in Malawi
Blantyre, 12th June 2024 – In a landmark event, the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Malawi (ICAM) and the Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences (MUBAS) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at the MUBAS campus on 12th June 2024. This collaboration is set to enhance the quality of accountancy education in Malawi, aligning academic and professional qualifications with the evolving needs of the country’s economy.

The signing ceremony was graced by ICAM CEO, CA. Noel Zigowa, and MUBAS Deputy Vice Chancellor, Professor Ishmael Kosamu, who represented their respective institutions. The MOU, which spans five years, is aimed at fostering a synergistic relationship to promote tertiary education in accountancy that is responsive to industry demands across the public, private, and NGO sectors.
